Day 1: Flight simulation

This week I was researching the famous SR-71 Blackbird flight characteristics for a planned simulated flight next week. One particular article impressed with the concept of a "tactical climb", performed on afterburner the whole time. The level of afterburner used varies to maintain speed and climb angle/speed, with a total time from sea level to FL800 and mach 3.0 of ... Anyone want to venture a guess?
